SUMMIT COUNTY, UT — (23 June 2025  | Summit Land Conservancy)

Nestled in the heart of the Kamas Valley lies Maxo Meadow, a 61-acre stretch of rich pasture and wetland that’s been cared for by the Young family for over a century. With sweeping views of the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains, this working agricultural property is now forever protected, thanks to Atira Conservation, the Cross Charitable Foundation, the David Kelby Johnson Memorial Foundation, Summit County, and support from community members like you.

What makes the preservation of Maxo Meadow a conservation win?

  • It’s 100% prime agricultural land, sustaining a family-run cattle operation.
  • It provides essential habitat for elk, deer, Sandhill cranes, and native trout.
  • It protects clean water flowing into the Great Salt Lake via Beaver Creek and the Weber River.

This is more than a meadow — it’s a living legacy of open space, clean water, and rural heritage. But we can’t protect places like Maxo Meadow without people like you!
